La Casa dei Due Baffi
or how two men and their dogs infiltrated the arcane world of Monte San Pietrangeli
Where is it?
So the conversation goes something like this -
Us: We're moving to Italy.
Them: Oh that's nice. Whereabouts?
Us: Le Marche
[Pause]
Them: [Quizzical expression] Oh.
Where, then, is Le Marche and why does no one know about it.
Le Marche is on the eastern side of central Italy, between the Appenine mountains and the Adriatic sea. A largely rural area, it is as yet undiscoverd by British tourists as it does not boast any of the iconic Italian cities not does it have the cache of Tuscany. Nevertheless, the undulating landscape, the proximity of the sea and the mountains and the lack of heavy industry make it, for us, the ideal place to relocate.
